a gallery of creations.

These 9 months have given me plenty of time to practise what i like doing most. Building stuff. Its my passion and my hobby. God has blessed me with 2 hands to do these things, and I want to glorify Him for everything that i come out with.
Some of the smaller stuff i make as gifts :

The first being a wallet made of duct tape. It has a coin pouch, various card slots, a transparent ID card holder, and the usual place for notes

The above wallet was given away to a someone I did not mind spending the effort to do it for. I do hope it lasts..
.
Ok next come the impossible bottles. After i read about them from the Newpaper, i decided to try my hand at some. Originally created by Harry Eng, impossible bottles are simply ordinary bottles with things in them. Why is it impossible? As you will see the objects inside are always too big to have gone into the bottle without some form of ingenious manupilation. As such they portray a rather mind boggling feat that seemingly defies physics. Decks of cards still wrapped, tennis balls, rubik's cubes, shoes..etc..There is a great deal of skill underlying the creation of one of these art pieces.

These 2 are my favourites. One by Harry Eng, the other by Jeff Scanlan, one of only about a dozen people who carry on the tradition of impossible bottle making.

And some of my own, albeit less impressive versions. They do make good gifts though and i hope to improve them even more. The point of these is to make people scratch their heads trying to figure out how it was done. So here goes :

Tennis ball and rubik's cube

Tennis ball in a jar.

A deck of cards in a snapple bottle. Will update this one when i can make it nicer. box looks a bit crumpled here.

And finally, the project that consumed a good 6 months of my time, with the planning stages done throughout army.

Project Halcyon in Black.
Basically its a pc that doesnt look like one. All components that one would usually find in a cpu have been covered up. Everything is made to look industrial and "purposefully complicated". There are various meters to measure hardisk activity and temperature. Various knobs and switches allow control of the cooling systems and lighting effects.
.
.
By far the most ambitious modding project ive tried to undertake, it was greatly fulfilling when completed. Despite repeated disastrous setbacks.
The project in full detail can be featured on these sites and forums. Some people were very gracious and posted this mod on their sites.

And thats it for this terribly long post. I hate putting photos onto blogger cos ive to drag them down one at a time..But nvm. Thats it for now. More updates on the impossible bottles in the near future.
