facing the giants

Went to trumpet praise a few days back to get the film " facing the giants". Like most other sports movies, the storyline is cliche. But what's different here is that its a christian themed. The team acknowledges God.They pray. Its a pretty moving film and while most would feel its a litte far fetched, I think it brought its point across remarkably. Well worth the 26 bucks dvd.

*SPOILER* warning. But if it doesnt bother you just go ahead.

Up next we have what could be this blogs weirdest and most random picture. Its a dustbin! But look, it has a window in its side. Its a l337 dustbin. All it needs is a nice blue neon light.

Ok enough of that. Now we have "Hong Shao Niu Rou" from a stall by that name. Its found in liang seah street. Went with tracy and shimei after studying and we just randomly picked this stall. The beef noodles turned out to be rather good. For about 10 bucks, its a little pricey but it makes up for that in taste.

What could be better than home cooked food! Ah not too healthy either though. But I take great pride in my sunny side eggs. :p

Now for one of the nicest lor mee's ive had in a long time. Heres at the beach road food centre, the one below the army market.

In this bowl you;ll find quite a generous service of ingredients. Not sure what they are but they taste nice and thats all i bother about.

Now for some japanese at my Izakaya, ministry of food in marine square. Came here after the christmas service with anna and wenhui.First impression was that this place was a rip off of waraku. The items on the menu all bore some resemblance. But here they serve the food much faster. After anna ordered it came within 2 minutes. No joke.

Good service, nice presentation.cold soba came on a bed of ice and all.But alas the quality of the food wasnt there. The sauce for the tempura was bland and the tempura batter quite the same. For a slightly higher price than Waraku's, i was quite disappointed. At least the dessert partly redeemed them.

This was soft serve ice cream with green tea sauce and fried yam/potato pieces. They taste like the taro turnover from burger king but nicer.

The mango version of it.

Man the holidays are almost over. Im already thinking about the next long 3 month one. Think il do one special sem module then. 6 modules is just too insane, having to balance climbing and cell group leading too. And now ive this idea of building more impossi-bottles and tape wallets, and selling them in that glass case shop in parkway.Wonder if people would pay for those..Ok thats it for now..
